Is therapy right for me?

By using Online Therapy 247 you are not committed to any long-term appointment. You can call any therapist you chose and speak as little as 30 minutes or as long as 130 minutes! You are also free to choose a different therapist (a life coach, counsellor, psychologists, psychotherapist) if you feel someone else would be a better fit. Sometime just speaking to a professional will help you clarify the support you need, and our trained therapies can guide you to the best skilled professional that can be the right fit for you.  Our clients often find that this first experience is helpful in deciding what they need and if the psychologist they have been matched to is the right fit for them

How can therapy/ counselling/life coaching help me?

Any form of therapy/coaching, counselling can help you take time out from the situation where you feel stacked and see it from a fresh perspective. Working with a therapist/counsellors and life coaches can give you a chance to think about what you can do to change your situation for the better. It also gives you a chance to explore complex or difficult issues in a safe and confidential environment.

What is the difference between Counselling, Therapy and Life Coaching?

Coaching provides a distinct service that helps clients work on their goals for the future and create a new life path.  Life coach and a client work in a less structured environment as a team rather than setting up a “doctor-patient” relationship.

Counsellor spends more time examining the past, looking for solutions to emotional concerns and seeking a diagnosis required by insurance companies. Counselling is also usually more short-term than therapy.

Psychotherapy is more long-term than counselling and focuses on a broader range of issues. The underlying principle is that a person’s patterns of thinking and behaviour affect the way that person interacts with the world.

The main difference between a counsellor and psychotherapist is in the academic training. In theory, counsellor works shorter term with life issues, such as bereavement and relationships, while a psychotherapist works over a longer period of time with more complicated or enduring mental health issues

Is everything I talk about confidential?

Yes, everything you talk about is confidential. The only exceptions to confidentiality are if your therapist  thinks that you are a risk to yourself or others in which case they may contact other professionals involved in your care such as your General Practitioner or a suggest you contact different specialist. This will always be discussed with you first.

How long will my session go on for?

How long will my session go on for?

There is not commitment to any session with Online Therapy 247.   It is up to you and the therapist (life coach, counsellor, psychotherapist) you have chosen to agree on the course of actions.  You are welcome to call back as many times as you need to.   Of course, at any point it is possible to discontinue the sessions.

Can I be reimbursed by my insurance?

Services offered using this platform are NOT covered by health insurance.

Can I get my money back?

We aim to align ourselves with the most select group of therapists. They are fully qualified, accredited and insured to practice privately. We do offer the “5 minute rule” if you feel in the first five minutes you have not “connected” with your chosen therapist, please end the call and we will organise a full refund or alternative therapists. WE WANT TO OFFER YOU A 100% SATISFACTION GUARANTEE. If there’s any reason why you’re not getting the most out of your sessions, let us know and we’ll do our best to arrange an alternative meeting at no cost to you.

How to book future therapy sessions and packages?

Please discuss how many sessions do you need with your chosen therapist. You can review the session packages we offer at our Sessions & Packages page:  https://onlinetherapy247.com/telephone-sessions/

Once you chose a package please call the reception to pay for the package.  Once you pay for the package the Receptionist will provide you with a Reference/Pin Number for the paid package.  The Reference/Pin number can be used for future bookings/calls to use against the purchased minutes/time.

How to book telephone therapy sessions?

  1. The client agrees any future sessions and times with the Therapist.
  2. The client calls back the receptionist and pays for the selected package.
  3. The receptionist provides the client with a special Reference/Pin number for the paid package.
  4. The Therapist is online for the agreed time with the client.
  5. The client calls the reception and provides the Reference/Pin number of the package he/she paid for and then the receptionist forwards the client’s call to the Therapist.
  6. The session then continues with the Therapist.

How to book email therapy sessions?

Email counselling is the perfect way to get the answers and empowering guidance you need without ever having to speak to anyone.

  1. Note the name of your chosen Therapist and their Pin Number
  2. Write few details about your age, relationship status, your pursuits as well as a note on your mental health history.
  3. Write what is troubling you and how this has affected you.
  4. Chose the packages we offer and pay for the email session
  5. After completing your payment, please send your email to emailtherapy@onlinetherapy247.com.
  6. Allow up to 72 hours for each reply to be completed, however we will endeavour to send these earlier.

We currently offer packs of 1 and 6 sessions. Each session includes an email of up to 1,000 words and an answer from your therapist. A single session costs £35 and 6 sessions are £180 (£30 each).

  3. Your correspondence with your therapist is all recorded in your emails, allowing you to reread your therapist’s words in times of hardship.
  4. We are available internationally, 24/7.
  5. Email counselling is highly flexible, as there is no need to book an appointment, and you can work your written email over a period of days, similar to journaling. Once your email has been sent, your therapist will allocate an hour of therapy to cautiously examine it, evaluate what you have written and offer therapeutic aid.
